Hi, I'm Eleftherios.
I've been making music since I was sixteen. I'm 29 now, so that's thirteen years, and all of it is still on my YouTube channel, right back to the very first song I ever made. If you scroll far enough, you can hear the whole journey.
Where it started
Film soundtracks were everything to me. I started out writing piano pieces and uploading them, trying to recreate the feeling a good score gave me.
The restless years
Then I got older and a bit rebellious: hard hip hop, dance music, anything with energy. It's different from what you probably know me for, but I'm proud of a lot of it. No set goal, just making what I loved and getting better. It's where I really learned to produce.
Back to the roots
Two years ago I came back to where I started. I chose a sound I truly resonate with and committed to it, because a clear identity was what I'd been missing. Since then the YouTube channel has become an amazing community, and Spotify has grown to numbers I never thought possible, around 450,000 listeners a month.
So I wanted to build a space of my own, not run by an algorithm or someone else's platform. A place where, if you love the music, you can get to know the person behind it, and support it directly.
Yes, it's my real name.
Eleftherios is Greek. I was born in Australia with Greek roots, and growing up I went by my middle name, Terence. Let's be honest, the other kids were never going to manage Eleftherios. Lately I've grown into it. In Greek it means freedom, and that's the feeling I want everything I make to carry.
Why the monkey?
I get asked this all the time. My dad drew it. He's an incredible graphic designer (Medusa Brands). It's a tamarin. In 2009, scientists had a cellist compose music especially for cotton-top tamarins, built from the monkeys' own calls. They mostly ignored human music, but their own music changed how they behaved: some pieces calmed them down, others wound them up. Tamarins are also known for their wild hair, and if you've ever seen a photo of me, you'll understand why that fits.
